Discovery Sunday Science Family Day at the UL Science, Engineering and Technology Festival at the University of Limerick, Nov. 8th, 2009.
The National Centre for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching and Learning (NCE-MSTL) is running Discovery Sunday Science Family Day Events next Sunday Nov. 8th at the University of Limerick. As part of the UL Festival of Science, Engineering and Technology these events include interactive hands on Science and Maths Activities for all the family. Use Chemistry to make your own bouncing ball, use Physics to build your own hovercraft, or ‘operation’ game, with Biology see how flowers feed, grow your own grass head, and using Maths get down and try out for the maths millionaire or try the Monty Hall Problem?
Christine Campbell from Anyone4science is putting on a Science is Power show where the audience can solve puzzles and learn how to build a machine to lift an adult, how to escape from jail, how to make a battery and much more!
Peter Douglas is also performing a Chemistry Light Show where one can see how light can be generated electrically, thermally and chemically and used in the production of clean water and clean energy.
Discovery Sunday events are organised by the staff of the NCE-MSTL with the much appreciated support of our sponsors Schering Plough and SciChem.
