Patrick Collison
How Two Teenagers Helped To Build And Sell A Company For Millions
The last of our Science Week lecturers was Patrick Collison, one of the Limerick teenagers who helped to build Auctomatic, which was later purchased by Live Current Media. Patrick told his amazing story which saw the former BT Young Scientist winner discuss who he became interested in computers, why he choose to do the A-Levels, his acceptance into MIT and then the formation of Auctomatic. Patrick also discussed his views on why programming should become the fourth r and be introduced onto the school syllabus and his thoughts on corporate financing.
