Introduction
2011 Resources coming soon!
Whether you are organising or attending an event, or just want to find out what all the fuss is about, everything you need can be found in our resources section! Here you will find a Science Week poster, logo and ‘How to get involved’ guide for download. The FAQ section should help you with any questions you have, as well as giving tips on how to upload events, photos and a sample press release you can use. We have also included a sample exit survey that you can print off and ask attendees at your event to fill out to help gather some feedback on how the event went – this may be useful in evaluating your event.
Check out our new guide to using Twitter, the micro-blogging website that allows you to connect with your community for free! Find us on www.twitter.com/ScienceWeek.
We have lots of new Science Week activity sheets that you can download and use at home or in the classroom. From word search puzzles, to experiments in making your own exploding alien using simple kitchen chemistry, or even simply how to hold a science debate, there is something for everyone! Activity sheets from previous years are still available for you to use as well.
Remember that the Science performers database is located in the resources section also and includes profiles of over 25 roadshow performers, along with details of the kinds of shows they provide as well as their contact details. We welcome submissions from any roadshows that we have not included so if you are aware of a performer that we don’t have on our database please let us know! You can contact the office at Tel: (01) 6073042.
