Interested in getting a science show to come to your venue? Science shows are a fun way to get your local community involved in Science Week. The following database is compiled so that you can browse through the profiles listed and if you would like them to come to your community centre / library / school etc. you can contact them directly yourself. (The database is not designed as a booking system.)

Description:

'Fun with Science' is an entertaining lecture-demonstration that shows how exciting science can be, and how it is an essential part of everyone's daily life. The presentation consists of about twenty scientific spectacles - which include colour changes (water being changed into 'wine'), cannon fire, optical illusions, coloured flames, disappearing water and appearing foam.

Description:

Beautiful bubbles, brilliant balloons and big bangs. We explore the best bits about bubbles and balloons. From blowing them up to bursting them; discover all the amazing things you can do in between. Can you catch a bubble? Make it last for ever or make it square? Can you stick a pin in a balloon or turn it into a helicopter? The perfect introduction to science, through these fun demonstrations the pupils can gain a basic understanding of materials and their properties and have their curiosity aroused.
