Sásta Science on Saturday: Rocks & Fossils at Kerry County Museum welcomes you to our Sásta Science workshops as part of Kerry Science Festival 2025. Visit the Tom Crean Polar Room and explore how Tom’s expeditions fundamentally changed our knowledge about the geology of Antarctica.
During the workshop you can handle a stone from Mount Crean in Antarctica, inspect real fossils that are millions of years old – and even make your own fossil to take home. Just for fun, you can even dress up as Tom Crean! This workshop is most suitable for families with children 8 years and older but younger siblings are welcome to join in. Please note that children need to be supervised by an adult.
Booking is highly recommended. Families with children aged 8+, younger siblings welcome.
