Our featured contributors will talk about the experiences, barriers and communities that have shaped their personal and professional development, inviting the audience into an open conversation about visibility, creativity, and belonging in science, technology, engineering, arts and maths.
This free event will be held in the relaxed and comfortable club bar at the Cork Cricket Club on Mardyke Walk in the city, serving a wide selection of beer and wine. Booking for 18+ please.
Collaborators:
Maitiú Mac Cárthaigh, MA, is a visual artist and researcher based up in the back ass of nowhere. Their practice focuses on rural queer existence in Ireland, performative identity, and decolonising queer history. They join collaborators Dr Alfredo Carpineti, astrophysicist and founder of Pride in STEM; and Jeanie Mac,drag queen by night and scientist with an MSc in Synthetic Chemistry by day.
