Artistotle and the Birth of Science

Aristotle, one of the most important Greek philosophers, is widely regarded as one of the most influential thinkers of all time, whose teachings helped shape what today is known as Western Civilisation. Aristotle was the first to adopt a systematic approach towards his observations of the natural world and as such he is considered the father of science.  This lecture with Thomae Duarte will be a journey through significant events in the life of Aristotle and his works, aiming to reveal the genius that he was, his diachronically influential concepts and to evoke curiosity and inspiration during Science Week to people who study science!

This is a FREE event taking place at SETU Carlow, room D507.
