The Science of Nature – an evening with Eanna Ni Lamhna

Join Ireland’s best known and most loved nature and wildlife enthusiast to explore wildlife and nature in Ireland. Éanna Ní Lamhna is one of the best-known public figures in Ireland, in particular as a biologist, environmental and wildlife consultant, radio and television presenter, author and educator. Éanna has one of the most instantly recognisable voices on Irish radio and has been for many years a member of the panel of experts on RTÉ’s wildlife programme Mooney Goes Wild. She has served as president of the national environmental charity An Taisce and the Tree Council of Ireland.

In this event, she will explore nature and wildlife in Ireland and how understanding the world around us can help us to protect it by becoming advocates for science and nature.

As part of this event, an exhibition of art by renowned wildlife artist Lorna Farrell will be on display and free copies of a new pamphlet inspired by science and nature will be available. Featuring poetry and flash fiction from writers across the midlands, the pamphlet is edited by award winning writer Niamh Boyce.
